About Us

Karni Industries, a Government of India recognised Star Export  House, having its Head Office at Old Manbazar Road, Purulia, is solely engaged in Tobacco business worldwide over a span of more than 28 years. Mr. Ramesh Kumar Rathi, the proprietor and a pioneer of this trade, belongs to a family which is engaged in the Tobacco business since eighty five years, covering four generations. Karni Industry is also an ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified Company. We are having a pan India presence armed with skilled labours and state of the art expert supervision. Every process including the ‘curing’, ‘stacking’, ‘fermantation’, etc. is done with outmost precision and maintaining the scientific and global standards.

Tobacco processing-

M/s Karni Industries have branches & warehouses at all major tobacco producing areas of India viz: West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh & Gujarat. We have a fully equipped processing unit at Purulia (W.B.) i.e.
we have a Pan India Presence. The curing of tobacco is done by skilled labours under expert supervision. We follow scientific procedure of curing, maintaining the original flavour & aroma of the tobacco. After curing, the tobacco is responsibly stacked into piles to enable the fermentation process.		  
   

Despatch-

Our bales are hydraulically pressed, our standard bales weight is 80 kgs. due to hydraulic compression, the bales are smaller in size and cater well into the containers, making the consignment cost-effective. We can also change the weight of bales as per requirement of our valued customers. The bales are covered with the eco-friendly jute canvas. A final check is conducted by our quality control team before the stuffing into containers. Containers are checked in advance for any leakage and breakage. Our average order to delivery time lag is three weeks. Our customers' network is spread all over India as well as to a number of foreign countries.
