The process of making granules of motihari Rustica Stem undergoes various steps i.e. drying of stems, removing of sand & other dust particles by screening, crushing stems
in granular form. It is followed by screening & sorting stem dust & uneven sized stems from granules. Then the granules are winnowed to remove any foreign particles & stem husk.
It is commonly used in preparation of Chewing Tobacco (khaini), Hookah Mua ssel or Hookah Tobacco.
The planting of Jati Tobacco (N. Tabacum) is done from October middle to October end.
It's physical characteristices
The primed leaf is cured by air curing (shade curing) and later fermented by bulking. The leaf is medium to heavy bodied and light brown to dark brown in colour.
Its chemical characteristics

1. Total Nitrogen% - 2.8 - 4.2
2. Nicotine % - 2.0 - 4.0
3. Calcium % - 2.2 - 3.4
Its economic use mainly is in the manufacture of various Tobacco products such as Hookah Paste,Muassel, Bidis & Cheerot, etc.
Motihari Rustica leaf flakes is made under expert supervision by skilled workers.Firstly dried Rustica Tobacco leaves are crushed, after crushing the crushed leaves are screened,then dust & uneven sized tobacco is removed from the flakes. These the flakes are winnowed to remove any foreign particles & stem.It is commonly used in preparation of chewing Tobacco (khaini), Snus, Hookah Muassel or Hookah Tobacco. We can also prepare these flakes of various sizes of different varieties of tobacco as desired by the customer.
The planting of Motihari Tobacco is done from October end to November end.
